1.- All ICG Iridium LRU's require a single-point
antenna for each 2-channels of Iridium.
This is not a typo! ICG has designed a power
divider that allows one CoAx to a single
point antenna for each 2-channels. As example:
the ICS-200 requires a single point antenna,
and one CoAx run for operation.
2.- The CIS-100 has a built-in GPS, and
requires a dual point antenna if this option
is desired. The Iridium voice channel is
segregated from the GPS signaling. Flight
following, position information, etc can
be sent at specified intervals to your home
server, e-mail address, or service provider
for AFF.
3.- All ICS series LRU's support ACARS
data via the ARINC-429 bus. ArincDirect
is the preferred service provider for this
messaging. Global ACARS messaging (SatAFIS)
and weather graphic updates are possible
with the ICS series systems.
4.- ICG is currently a Iridium service
provider and is the default option for voice
service. Arinc is the preffered service
provider for ACARS. Global one number (GON)
can be used with ICG equipment and the service
provider Satcom Direct, upon request. While
this is our standard mode of operation for
terminal commissioning, it is not required
by ICG. Any service provider can be used
including Iridium LLC.
5.- All ICG cabin telephone equipment has
been tested with (an approved for use and
operation): AirShow, Sectera Secure Wireline
Terminal (SWT) for Secure voice over Iridium,
fax, and MedLink.
