AeroCom
1100
The AeroCom 1100 cabin telecommunications
unit (CTU) provides communications automation,
medium integration and transceiver management
facilities for aeronautical applications.
Operational with standard telephony devices,
the AeroCom 1100 replicates the conveniences
and services offered by contemporary “executive-office”
communications systems in an aircraft
cabin. Voice, data and fax communications
is simple without the requirement to learn
unique operations, and functions common
to proprietary telephone systems. Either
the North American or European dialing
plans can be adopted for familiar telephone
operations such as: call transfers, intercom
calling, conferencing, call on hold, etc.
can easily be implemented. Communications
circuit selection and transceiver control
is automatic with required dialing modifications
to support specific transceivers and networks
performed transparently to the caller
during call initiation.
