CIS-100
The CIS-100 Iridium Communications System
incorporates a single channel
Iridium transceiver and an internal GPS
receiver with built-in CTU features.
The device provides a stand-alone comprehensive
communications system
in a small, rugged metal enclosure. The
CIS-100 permits connections of
conventional telephony devices or legacy
PABX systems via standard 2-Wire
“Tip and Ring” circuits or
a 4-Wire audio circuit. This CTU’s
features include
extension to extension calling, call transfer,
conferencing and follow-on
dialing. The Iridium system provides inexpensive
global voice and data
communications of up to 2400BPS via a
serial port connection compatible
with the Sectera SWT with BDI for Type
1 encryption for Top Secret operations.
The device is simple to operate, offering
standard dialing conventions and
PABX operations with familiar call progress
tones. It is the ideal solution
for helicopters, VLJs or other light aircraft
applications requiring two or
three telephony connections and seamless
global communications services
without the inconvenience of hand-offs
or no service areas.
