Sigma
7 BL
The Sigma-7 Backlit (BL) retractor-reel handset
is similar to traditional aeronautical handsets
in form factor and appearance, but is much
simpler and more conventional in its use. The
Sigma-7 BL offers features commonly found
in office style multi-function handsets. When
connected to an ICG Iridium system or CTU, a
user has powerful PABX features and functions
available. Special features such as backlit
buttons and LCD display, noise-canceling microphone,
speed dialing, last number redial and
mute, make the Sigma-7 handset versatile yet
convenient and simple to use. The Sigma-7
can be recessed into a drink rail or bulkhead
mounted with a coiled cord version available.
ICG offers an optional data jack (RJ -11) option
located on the cradle for connection to a data
modem and has a connection for an external
ringer for drink rail mount locations. The
Sigma-7 has an internal magnetic stripe reader
to support credit card calling and special
function keys to provide enhanced features
such as flash transfer and access to programming
menus. The device connects to a 2-Wire
Tip and Ring telephone circuit and is compatible
with all communications systems that offer
2-Wire telecom circuits which meet standard
CCITT specifications. The Sigma-7 BL requires 8-
to 48-volt DC external power either from an aircraft
system or from an ICG Iridium or CTU
product that commonly provides utility voltage
for connection to external telecom devices. |
